Andréa Ruel was admitted to the Quebec Bar in 2018, following an academic journey undertaken through various concrete experiences, notably within the UQAM Legal Clinic, Justice Pro Bono and the UQAM mentoring center as a mentor.

She began her professional career in youth protection as a defense lawyer, before joining the public service to represent the interests of the DPJ.

She then joined a national firm to practice professional and hospital liability, as well as insurance law. Andréa sits on the board of directors of Le Tournant Youth Hostel, a non-profit organization dedicated to helping young men in need of accommodation in Montreal since 2020, as well as on the board of directors of Caisse Desjardins de Chomedey since 2018.
